Spending spreee!

Finally, got our holidays early December as planned! Huah's boss gave her off as well!

Went to Cherating and Kuantan. Spent as if the world's gonna end, finally after months of working we are really spending without looking at any price tags at all~~~~~~~ Yeah man that's the way to live now, spend while we still can!

Came to Genting as well, wanted to gamble but, went into the casino multiple times but just couldn't bear to waste money away at table games. Went to the theme park as well. That will be the first and my last ride of the cockscrew. Scary as cock-the G-forces tried to rip me off the seat and fly me down Genting on a fast track to hell... I was telling Huah, 'No more no more!!!!!'

Fruitful as planned.

Next destination, somewhere where we need to fly!

Coming December

So anxious awaiting boss to approve my leave early December. Though it'll be a short leave off work, was hoping that it'll be a meaningful one.

Now trying to decide whether to fly or take a bus back.

The best is still to drive back after work~~~more flexible, too bad I don't have one.

Sunday Off

Friday's anticipation and worry, Huah's arriving at night. Slept halfway on the MRT till Dover, where we are going to meet. Received a call from Huah's Sg number, was happy/relieved that she had topped up the phone with a previously bought reload card, and at least now she wouldn't get lost with my directions-if needed.

Waited at Dover and cars zooming past. No words could describe the anticipation of seeing one number plate that starts with 'N'. Finally! There she is!!!!!!

Saturday comes, went to work. Was so eager to leave, luckily there're no bookings during the rounds... 天助我也！

And then the fun begins!

And then it's already Sunday evening. Time for BB dinner at McD along Farrer Road. Felt so reluctant to leave.

Huah is fast. She reached the immigration office in Singapore about the time I reached Bishan on a cab from McD.

Now waiting for 1Dec. Then I'll go crazy back home! My turn!!

The time where you copied the whole MBBS requirements from the past-year's university intake charts.

The time where we drove to the top of the Temiang hill for the lights of Paroi...

Long Weekend Home

Spent the long weekend with Deepavali on Friday back home. Got a bus ticket but mum's a bit too worried about travelling in buses, and I ended up getting a ride home. Dad had Thursday off, Rux went back Seremban early, and after Mum's school ended, the car's on the way south to Singapore!

Huah waited in front of the house for us again. Must ask her to wait somewhere safer, ie Lobak or Hawaian Steak House.

Friday morning, just when we're deciding what to have for breakfast, Huah suddenly blurted out about a KL trip. Off we go again to Midvalley. Had sushi which was great, and then 2 big sausages from Jusco. Got myself 2 new belts and some socks along the way. Dinner's at Silver Dragon. The captain couldn't stop blowing water with my mum...

Saturday morning, woke up a bit late and went for breakfast. Drove to Curry Leave, but they did not have mutton on that day. Went for some Hakka mee instead. And then off we go, to the Suzuki dealer nearby for a test-drive. Wow, the Swift really handles good. Next is Persona at a Rahang EON dealer. Not a bad car also~~ With ample boot space, we described it as 'fit 3 person' or '3 dead bodies'. Next stop the Perodua dealer at the lake gardens. The salesman didn't even bother to entertain us, perhaps their Myvi business is too good-they don't need more customers anymore~
At Huah's place at night, fell asleep watching The Hulk on Astro. Not sure why was I so tired.

Sunday, wellzz... Back to my usual blues again. Had good cendol in town in the afternoon, and then I started singing the blues again........

Schoolboy

Felt like a schoolboy although I'm working.

The reason? I don't own a car.

And then to make things worse, Huah told me today, 'Even as a schoolboy you drove around, what about now...'

Anyway, went out with Ireith for a Left 4 Dead appointment. Sadly it was cancelled. Looking forward to a 2nd date to kill zombies!

Die zombie die! Eh they're already dead to be called zombies anyway...

Dude, Be Cool

Had some experiences of ultra-kiasu-kiasi-ness around my workplace these days.


Elevator fully packed from 6th floor downwards. Everyone wanted to get to the ground level to have lunch. Just as the door finally opened at the ground level, one uncle, from behind, started to 'excuse me' loudly and then started pushing/squeezing through the crowd, though it's obvious everyone's taking their turn to exit the lift (according to position). One of the HO could not stand him, and shot back, 'We are all getting out!'

Uncle, getting out of the lift doors in 0.0001sec does not win you a medal. Getting out of the lift doors last does not mean you lose.


Next one at the bus queue. The bus fits 20 people, all seated. Queue number 19 is empty (one guy left the queue) and the conductor asked if someone would like to fill in the blank/seat, 'Last seat here for one more~~' Queue number 20 an aunty shouted, 'I want I want!!!!!' as if her life would had depend on the seat. My eyes rolled, the other passengers stared. She could had just told the conductor nicely, he's standing right beside her.

She might had thought the conductor a bitch for trying to deny her rights to board the bus by introducing another guy to 'steal her seat' although she's already in queue. Would there be such injustice in bright daylight in this land of opportunity? No I don't think so.

Well, maybe she wasn't well informed that the bus would fit her as she has already been 'booked' for seat number 20. Maybe she thought that she will be left out. On second thoughts, I think it's the way she's been brought up. Fed with THIS, fed with THAT. Whatever you want to put it as. I say, 'fed with K.'

Oral Erosion

Had accidentally bitten myself on my right inner cheek a few days ago. Turned into an erosion eventually. Had been affecting my appetite for a few days, I can't enjoy my food without causing pain to the site!

It rained here in the afternoon. After work (Sunday half day) I was extremely tired, could not even finish my usual dose of afternoon movie. Ended up sleeping the whole afternoon away. The rain and thunder kept me asleep until 5.50pm. Then I woke up. The rain had left us with a cooling weather, GJ GJ!

Decided to go out somewhere for dinner. Took the bus and ended up at Upper Thompson Rd near a 'Todak Lane'. Wakakaa... The story where the todak-s just decided to fly around impaling poor villagers and the smart prime minister who asked ppl to tank with their thighs!

Anyway, had some soup based noodles with dumplings there near Todak Lane. The mushrooms tasted not bad.



The best dumpling noodles is still the one in the PRC operated stall in Taman Megah Ming Tin!

Too bad I can't reproduce the dog-with-a-bad-cough noise from the A320... Wakakaka! What a way to describe that sound..

Flew to KLIA today, crashed 2 times and landed 2 times off the runway. Damn farny, can't really control it with my mouse. And a joystick is expensive to begin with.

Man on the MRT

Saw a guy with huge ears in the MRT today after work. Thought he looked familiar. Then I remembered, he was the guy that I seen one afternoon, admitted by the social worker for query suicide intentions.

He was the one with the BLUNTED affect, and that's the first time I experienced a patient with paucity of speech. Getting his story out of his mouth was like digging for gold. Yah, he has problems paying for his debts after a bad deal selling off his HDB.

Good to see him around with less blunted affect. At least he didn't kill himself in the end. Looks like he really does care for his mother (the only reasons stopping him from killing himself during that admission was: 1. He was afraid to hurt his mother, and 2. He was afraid to die)

Limbo

Saw a Johor-plate Viva EX below my block today parked in one of the bays. Oh I envy them. Oh how I wish I can drive back home every weekend, no need to rely anymore on planes and their flight schedule.

Out of a sudden the feeling of home sick flashed again. Can't find the words to explain the urge to go home to my loved ones and spend my life with them STAT. But then my mind reversed into the rationalization mode, and I can hear Madonna singing, 'If it's bitter at the start, then it's sweeter in the end...'

I was bought up this way, how I wish I could erase the word 'rational' in my mind and just do what I desire.

Needless to say, I am thrusted back into this limbo again...

It's just the way I'm pre-programmed. I wish for a brain wash right now. Please help this poor tiger. She misses her rider!

Short Trip Back Home

Went to PD. A decision over breakfast in Thivi Jaya. Suddenly felt, 'Ahh we're bored let's go to PD!'. Huah's typical respond, as expected, 'Yeah mannn.........'

And so we drove to PD on the trunk road. Found some surprisingly clean beaches, with the sand leveled out to make great plains of sand dunes. What a vast improvement compared to old Teluk Kemang with the dirty beaches and the longkangs draining into the sea in plain sight. Looks like the state government is indeed serious in redeveloping PD. Good start, let's just hope things would get better from here.

Went around Seremban after that. Paid visit the WongKam aka The Store and got some great soy milk beside the Brother's shop. Huah went for some 3D HongKong ghost movie after that, which she ?enjoyed.

Went to Siang Malam for supper with Huah at night. Sad, they don't serve my beloved Indomee nor Maggi Goreng. Their roti planta had deteriorated too. I guess this would be the last time I visit Siang Malam. It used to be our hang out place during sec years.

RTA

Bad road traffic accident on the NS highway yesterday involving multiple vehicles.

What happened still remains a mystery. 12 people passed on, for no good reason other than a random act of fate - a RTA.

Life is indeed short, must really enjoy it while it last. There's no way to tell what life will bring you next!

Time spent together is, and will be always good time.

Spent 10:10am of 10 Oct 10 having breakfast together at a market in Northern Bishan. No wonder breakfast today tasted different.

That's quality time. That's a memorable 10:10 10/10/10.

Hacking Cough

Running around with Huah post call today. She took a bus after work on a Friday evening just to keep me accompanied over the weekend...

Felt very bad couldn't stop coughing even in the ward during work. Surely some would had thought of me trying to make an impression to the bosses by coughing out loud during work hours, but I just couldn't stop coughing. Bad URTI, I thought it was over when I recovered from my sore throat, but wells, I was so wrong.

Went to Sands today again for a second visit. This time though we used the appropriate MRT station instead of the ill-fated adventure with James Neoh and HMC where we practically walked from the Marina Bay station to Sands under the scorching sun. Sorry guys, I guess I just messed up the directions that time!

Dinner was pizza by Pei Fung. She makes nice pizza! I was enjoying the food but was again, too tired to participate in small talk.

Now back in my room with my damned cough and lovely Huah, just going to take a bath soon and enjoy my wine.

Max Ward Mx

Max ward management. DIL DNR. Harsh words to family members, but do we know whether the patient on the other end, might just think these are the best things to hear at the height of their ordeal?

Tried MaxWardMx one old lady who premorbidly was bedbound in NH, non-communicative on NG feeding now admitted for pneumonia. Family not keen for discussion of max ward management despite being informed that overall life quality would not improve with ICU admission/intubation if the old aunty deteriorates.

How do we make people understand that ventilating a 'dead' person is like giving flushes of water to the gills of a fish who's trapped in a little, drying up pudge of water? The moment we stop it, either the fish will die, or fall back into the same old misery...

Sick today, bad headache and URTI post call. Had been taking care of others, I think I need at least one day of rest off work.


AIYAH... Head exploding! BOOM!

Absence

Absence.

Had been occupied with studies, then DOTA, then work. Had just decided to write something just to cheer myself up.

Came back from a tiring night. Had nearly been a one night stand involving aunties and sickies. Sleep is such luxury!

Had a picnic in 75 yesterday thanks to the nurses. Now I know why patients refuse the sandwiches--it tastes HORRIBLE. The oat bread, the un-creamy butter, the combination: T.T


Now back from work post-call, finished Machette, and lying on my bed wondering, should I

1. sleep
2. have McD later
3. eat healthier food
4. drive to KL stat for dinner and drive back for work tomorrow
   

and lastly, if only I have a car. Duh~~
