We're Being Investigated for Illegal Entrance

Maybe this is the beginning of the end, or is this 'end' actually the beginning of everything?

Hardly possible with their mentality that this is the beginning. It might only be a dragging issue round and round the bush as we speak for centuries to come.

Speaking of more cheerful issues, my laptop nearly GGed with the installation of the virtual drive software Alcohol. Blue screen error pops up everytime shortly after booting Vista. Well, resorted to extreme measures to solve this problem. Well, it was partly my fault for installing it after ignoring the known compatibility issues with Vista.

Dad bought a new watch for mum, and she nearly picked one that costs around RM170. Rux and me were like @@ Come on, we could afford more than that... There are plenty of choices. Luckily, mum got to her senses and chose one better watch (which costs more of course)

As for me, I got an early present again this year. Thanks Huah... I will try to protect the wallet with my nice rounded ass. I will try not to fart with the wallet in my back pocket!

Hardwork

Oh my fucking god!

The wards had just been re-opened to final years. This mean more work, more work, and more more work! "AAAAAAAAAA, AAAAAAAAAA, AAAAAAAAAAA!!" as BunBun will put it...

Just when I thought I will be getting a 2 weeks partial holidays off my juniors' final exams, which we would be barred from the wards. Disaster strikes!

But now...

Depressed facies. Maybe I need good yarmmylicious food to cheer me and my tummy up. Lapsap teaching rounds coming up Friday. I need a good centaur to tank the burning questions.

Oh snap!

Boring Day

My only teaching session for the day was cancelled. A tutorial in the afternoon being postponed.

NOW I KNOW WHAT'S BOREDOM!

Slept late last night, woke up 11am today. Went to 12th for food and caught up with the latest buddy wrenching gossip. I didn't know that getting a junior that you like as a buddy can be so difficult, so confusing, so heart breaking, nyah nyah nyah... Someone suggested that to avoid these confrontations between good friends, we should resort to drawing lots on buddies the next time (if there are any next times for us, final years nyah nyah...)

Slept again in the afternoon until I missed my dinner. Speaking of boredom, the wards are closed for the 4th year examinations. Good news? Bad news? Hard to decide in my boredom now. Both answers have its pros and cons...

Google satellite imaging finally shared a well taken high resolution picture of my hometown. Sadly though, they took only half the town, even missing the town centre itself. What the heck??

Now rux is asking me to give him a hand, uhh, mouth. Cheesecakes from a Ms OMG will be arriving this weekend, and I'm supposed to offer my stomach as a storage bin for some of them. Now this is good news? Bad news? I'll take it as good this time. Hope I will not get poisoning for food meant for Rux hehehehe... Vendetta maybe? Maybe I should test it on the dog first...

Greetings, Exalted One

A traveller from the stars above, I saw this alien visitor emerging from it's capsule just minutes before.

Sheltered under it's dome of highly purified Oxygen, protected from the pollution that threatened our (and his) very existance, glancing around at funny humanoid shapes flashing him with rectangular light emitting devices, wondering 'what the heck happened to my warm swimming pool'

Blurr, but cute. Can't help but started rocking him sideways...

Bandar Seri Jempol, OMHS Study

Went to Bandar Seri Jempol this week. Such a long drive through Bukit Putus, 35km odd to Kuala Pilah, and another 35km to Bandar Seri Jempol, all through trunk roads. No highways, and we had to endure a winding road around Bukit Putus uphill and downhill.

Enjoyed the 'trip' however, seemed more like a holiday than field work to me. We had good accomodation, chinese food is readily available in nearby Bahau, and the people there in Jempol are very friendly indeed. Maybe that's just because we're all going to be working partners in a few years time...

Rakan Muda hostel

Clean rooms are such a wonder to tourists

A rural area, free from the smog and traffic jams of KL. Plantations on both sides of the road instead of skyscrappers and apartments after apartments. In the morning, I could even drive with my window down just to enjoy the fresh air, which I did on 2 occassions.

The hospital is big, well equipped, but lacking specialist. Guess no one is interested yet to apply for a job in the FELDA area. The associated government offices are well placed within an area, the so called new administrative town, Bandar Seri Jempol. That made our travels and interviews very easy. Reminds me of the Lake Gardens here where all the offices are also sort of cramped near the lake.

This is a hotel lobby, not a hospital's

Inside the hotel

Conclusion :

  • Jempol is a nice area for busy, single and still available bachelors
  • Food is expensive even in a rural setting
  • The Singapore Chicken Rice in Bahau is very yarmmylicious
  • Bahau is not as rural as initially thought
  • Avian influenza can strike at any other normal days
  • Conflicts arise when there are trouble-makers in the group

Vanity Fair

Was browsing through some blogs today, and found one interesting blog. It was some blog about dreams to fly, not to mention also about vanity.

OMG, let's not pass judgements yet, it was only the beginning of the blog. However I have a strong feeling in my stomach that there will be no other posts other than the announcement and reannoucement and reannouncement of the particular dream to fly. Maybe some people take their blog as a broadcast centre of their dreams, maybe some of them tell the world about their vanity there too.

Finally, I realised that I had became too critical of things. Haha!

TiTi, damn you're doomed...

Here We Go Again

Went to KL today. Drove from Banting to KL in the afternoon.

Night came, off we go to KL for an interview in Melia Hotel. Parked the car in Times Square, walked a shone throws distance to Lowyat and bought a 90m long Category 5e cable. Wah damn big bundle and bulky wires, I stuffed into my bag. Off to the neighbouring hotel then.

I was walking around the hotel with a big backpack (terrorist Eyi bombing run) Finally, we found the correct meeting place and subsequently was interviewed (or was it some kind of persuading effort they're running) After an interesting Q&A session, we enjoyed our supper outside in the hallway. The fried rice was fantastic!

Out of the hotel, an ambulance wailed its sirens across the road. Bystanders gathered in a line at the opposite road shoulder. I can't see what's going on, and by the time I take 10 steps to reach the pedestrian bridge, the ambulance and the 2 motorcycle escorts carrying oxygen tanks had roared away.

Off I came back, to my room here for a one night sleep. Tomorrow expected time of leave, 7am!

Yarmmylicious Burger and the Sequale

Yarmmylicious burger which had became soggy due to the late delivery to the dining table. The reason behind the lateness?

Huah and me were riding the lift as any other normal lift-ride when the lift came to an abrupt halt somewhere around the 12th floor, one floor from our destination.

We kept pressing the emergency bell and hoped for a swift rescue. Well, the rescue came in the form of 2 security guards, one man (possibly the residential committee), eldest sister and hubby, Jason, and one man from the lift company.

The security guard kept comforting us, a good effort he made. The lift guy instead jumped on top of the lift (it was getting damn stuffy and hot in the lift) from the 13th floor and operated the doors, opening it to our sighs of relief...

We climbed out, offered some hurried thanks, and rushed back to enjoy our soggy burger. Luckily for us, it was still a tasty and worthwhile burger.

Nostalgia

Ripped some songs from my Backstreet Boys, Westlife and Now (that's what I call music) CDs, and listening to them, my mind drifts back slowly to my secondary school years.

Thinking back, those were indeed 'ignorance is bliss' days. Nothing to care about but to get pleasure, and nothing to take away the endless relaxation I had after school (except maybe homework) Responsibility didn't count those days, and fun was neverending with my best friends in school.

W-O-W! Nice songs!

Neural Tissue

Ate a lamb shoulder in Chilis today in Midvalley.

Halfway starting my yarrmylicious meal, I saw the sawn off scapula. Then I tried to identify the muscles and bones as I would see my meal as a human shoulder.

And then I made out the vertebra with the spinous processes, and the vertebral body with the centre foramen, and the ribs. Then I noticed the ewww part, the spinal cord was STILL inside the centre foramen! It was slightly shrunken after the 'well done' cooking, and looked a shade paler than the charred muscles. But wouldn't the cook remove the spinal cord segment before serving it? That was a really ewww factor...

After finishing the yarrmylicious parts, I suddenly have an idea. Why don't I dissect my poor lamb? And so I pried open the spinal cord, separated it from the meninges (which was well preserved despite the cooking) and found the exiting thoracic nerve root leading as 2 trails of meninges (dorsal and ventral roots) running out of the cord... EEEeewwww...

R.I.P.

One died in an vehicle accident.

Another one got blacklisted.

Is this karma? I don't know whether to believe or not.

Extremely mean of me to think of karma in these situations. Men should not harbour thoughts of vengeance, as I do....

RIP, you will never be forgotten!

Fishmonger

This place I live in is a nice fish market.

Fishmongers, old and young, male and female are busily attracting customers to their respective stalls for the freshest and the cheapest fish.

Sadly, I am just a customer. I don't know how fishmongers work in their peculiar way. Neither do I speak the fishmonger's language. I don't intend to learn that either.

In fact, I just got trout-slapped today by one of my most trusted fish-dealer. No wonder one of my fellow customer told me once that he never trusted this particular fishmonger that I normally patronised. I should had heed his advice.

I Rather Die Driving This Car Than Other Ways

Damn! Saw this car in UMMC today. Belongs to someone working (maybe parttime) in a private hospital. OMG!

Nah, the 'gang'

I thought the orange juice would come in a nice tall glass. DARN! Just look at the size of the glass... One 'cupful' of orange juice for RM5. No wonder they're making good business!

Me, DH, and LokLim in Midvalley for half a day, doing nothing but talking shit...

Running Around Amok

Yerr, hamsters in James' room! His partner gave birth to 6 younglings, one of them died soon-after

Well, these few days, I've been running amok around the hospital. Life's a little more busy than Klang, but the motivation to do work is there. Well, we're now moved into a 'world-class' university hostel with world-class water supply and internet connection, so I guess that's where all these motivation comes from.

The network of wire mesh is actually my only anti-mosquito defense besides my blanket

Well, someone naughty have been 'flirting' around with my GF. The last time I remembered, huah told me that his status is currently unavailable. I don't understand why he would mess with somebody else when he's dating another girl. Hinting SMSes 'take care cause I care blar blar blar', 'miss you blar blar blar', 'everytime I saw your empty seat I will smile blar blar blar' sent were on his pretext of being mere friends, whereas huah's friends, family, and my own friends all decided that those SMS were meant to secure a 'more than just friends' relationship. Well, what to do... Houseflies are just hard to kill, they buzz just too fast and their superior change of velocity. I need my old trusty rubberbands.

Well, now to my world class university. A&E was really fun. I felt really bad and terrible everytime I went to A&E, hoping for weird cases of accidents. I don't know why I was hoping for something bad to happen on other people so that I can witness it. This is bad, bad, bad...

My readings on a normal non-happening night

In the clinic, getting confused and bored. My mind was drifting away, I don't even remember now what's wrong with him. That's WPChong, a cardiologist...

That day in the ward, I poked an unconscious someone at least 5 times OMG and yet failed to get the extra 2 vails of blood. The line just clogged up I don't even understand why. i thought I had overshot the vein, but as I maneuvered it, nothing, nothing came out. Yet, blood was drawn to the puncture site as I removed the needle. I guess that's just not my day.

Back, Final Year

I couldn't believe this is my final year in medical school. I can still recall the day when I stepped into UM, and in a blink of the eye, I'm already in my fifth year.

McD from SS14 on my table. Yummylicious chicken nuggets (unhealthy) and salted french fries (unhealthy)

CNY Pictures

What a hectic pre-CNY and CNY festival season...

Programmes and apopintments each day non-stop since Sienz and Rux were back. Hectic, but fun, especially when we chased down the last stubborn and annoying ball in pool. Hehehe...

Yarmmylicious Korean food in S2

Rux busy flailing around under the lights. Me and Sienz were like @.@

Chance Meeting

I was in Jusco this afternoon for super filling meal of Zinger + Wedges + Chickens + Coleslow + Pepsi. After the perfect meal, I was walking towards the supermarket when I noticed 2 ladies near a bench scourging for items in their shopping trolley. One of them looked very very familiar to me... It was Ms Choong! The other lady was Mrs Chin, who taught me geography in '97!

Huah recognises them immediately too. We eagerly greeted both of them. They were surprised to see us, just like we did too. Then we blah blah blah for some time. Ms Choong have really good memory power. She remembered huah's name in full, and also my surname. I was like wow when she asked, 'You're...... Koong?' Wah... Speaking of remembering a student's name 6-7years after his graduation... WAH!

I still remember the time when I was in class getting lessons from both of these ladies. Mrs Chin, no offense, taught boring geography (I wasn't interested in geography, and her soft voice sounded like lullaby everytime I attended her class) Ms Choong however, left more than superficial inpression compared to Mrs Chin, during my schooling days. She taught me English in form 2. I can still recall the article from Reader's Digest that we spent weeks on. It was centered on a pet parrot-family-bird, Charlie who had its wings clipped and shackled onto a perch. Well I can certainly remember the song that we performed onstage for the English week, and the lashing we got for 'performing well in Ms Choong's classes but behaving like monkeys in other classes.' She didn't like our double standards hahar!

Before we left, huah's mum told Ms Choong something very funny. VERY farny indeed. 'I always remember you for your good deeds, and the other one for her bad deeds.' ROFL! I couldn't stop laughing right in front of my ex-teachers. Huah's mum really got her point right!

Rice-Field Chicken? Sweet Chicken?

人为刀俎,我为田鸡
Sad, these ugly things (top eels, bottom toads) gonna end up in someone's gut. Eww... Don't know whether to pity these creatures or the guy's gut...

Yummulicious when added with soy sauce. The other barely cooked ones in the vegetable dish made parents sick. Both of them, sick! They didn't charge for the vege in the end.

Speaking of the service in KaKaHee, much much much much more better than the one near Holland Drive (that we walked out of) LOLz! What a huge difference!

Uhuh, a sign from above? A pillar of light? A C&C Ion Cannon beam I think. Maybe someone test-fired it for their space war programme huh @.@ But why? What had we poor Malayians done to deserve this? There is no 'above' If there is, he/she is selfish as hell.

Drunk

Drunk? Me?
NONO I was still quite sober yesterday, except for one episode of a very minor headache, generalized, not constricting, no N+V, no visual/hearing impairment, no other neurological signs, which resolved spontaneously after a few hours.

The band yesterday in Malacca was wonderful. They played songs that I knew and also pleasant songs that I'd never heard of. The bad part was

  1. the speakers were a bit loud, but that couldn't be helped (people sitting far from the stage need to appreciate their nice singing too)

  2. some guy went on stage and sang, subsequently ruining the original song

The food was nice and I drank a whole lot of I-forgotten-the-name-alcohol mixed with 7-up. Huah's brother and dad were flushed near the end of the dinner, and was banned from driving. Well, I didn't take that much, so I was permitted to drive by huah, and my parents (though my dad seems quite concerned as he stayed alert during the whole drive back to Seremban)

Here are some photos

The band on stage from the Phillipines

The master table. Now it looked like a table for war generals...

Tea, anyone?

Two In The Morning

This early early early morning, I just finished watching Cruel Intentions, and while lying on my bed (wondering why the night was so f**king cold) waiting for sleep to conquer me, when.....

BWEEE BWEEOP BWEE BWEEOP BWEEE BWEEOP BWEE BWEEOP BWEEE BWEEOP BWEE BWEEOP

Some kind of alarm rang. Well, I guessed that it must be the fire alarm. Strange, it 'chose to' ring on a cold night. Perhaps some poor mouse chewed the wires and triggered the alarm (and subsequently getting crisp at the same moment)

I smell the night air. Fresh, no smell of smoke. Well, no need to panic. I am living on the top floor of my 3 storey block with at least 4 route of escape, and also routes to another block. No worries, I thought as I lay back down on my bed.

'The fire alarm has rang. All please proceed to the safe meeting area!' That was the announcement on the PA system, once in BM, repeated in English. Well, they missed the 'This is not a drill' part, so I guess that this must be a drill. Still no smell of smoke, am I downwind? I didn't hear commotions anywhere though, must be a stupid drill.

Suddenly blaring sirens (much MUCH louder than the alarms) filled my ears. WTF? Now this is annoying. The security guys parked their DAMNED van under my window and started BLARING the siren from the stupid van! If only I have stones, minus the mosquito netting, the van would be ahemm ahemmed... Felt like shouting PUKIMAK from my dark room... Why the hell are they having a fire drill 2am on weekdays?

Brainless assholes...

So I sat in my room waiting for the 'ordeal' to resolve. My stomach started to grumble (suffering from AGE for a few days) and the urge to go to the toilet was so unbearable. So I grabbed my belongings and went. Halfway doing my shit, the lights went out. Hey assholes, it's 2am ok? Even if you cut the electricity, no one is going to budge from their rooms. Luckily for me, I had my handphone to light up the toilet though, starlight can't reach confined areas...

Finally today, someone told me that 500 survived the fire, and 200++ perished.

Well, I'm toast!

Pictures = Fake Representative of Life

I once watched a movie, the lead said that pictures are hypocrites. They make crying people look so beautiful. Well, I couldn't agree more.

Pictures of my hometown, my bed, my house, my dining area looked so colourful, but in reality, it is just the 'Ceh, like that only mar...' feeling when I see it with my eyes.

Seremban boulevard, beside the market @.@. Looks pretty cool and neat with the palms and the neat building on the left, not to mention the tiny signboard indicating the parking entrance. But stepping into the real world under those trees, the only thing running through my mind was, 'WOW the fucking heat, and the damned sun!'

From the car, on the north-south highway to KL, stuck in the traffic jam, whipping out my phone, took a 'peaceful' shot of the highway. In the car though, I remembered thinking about 'OMG why is there a stupid jam here? Why can't people drive carefully and avoid accidents? Why the hell must people slow down to look at the accident site? Stupid people causing stupid jam wasting stupid time.'

Perhaps I should slow down in my life. Take some cool (if any) fresh air and relaxxx.......
