Took the laptop to a shop just now. Just barely into the first second of the harddisk diagnostic test, the tech guys were shaking their head. 'Your harddisk had been GGed, too many severe BAD sectors' Quite true, a lot of errors popped up as the test progresses...
Sad! Now I have to buy a new harddisk, the 80Gb one just RM30 more expensive than a 40Gb harddisk, so what's stopping me?
Going to collect the laptop at 3pm.
Sad though, I'd lost all my songs, and my pictures taken in UM... I'm too hasty! The decision to format the C: drive was a bad one... I should back it up with the external casing first. Stupid me!
