I was at the bus terminal in Seremban when someone approached me
He was a plump chinese yound man, not much older than me. According to him, he is 23 years old. He came from Johore Bahru via train with his friend to tour Seremban, and his friend left with his wallet and money, and thus he was stuck in Seremban... He even had his things in the hotel room, and couldn't check out yet due to the fact that his friend stole his belongings.
He wanted me to help by paying the hotel...
I agreed to help by buying him a one-way ticket to Johore, but not the hotel. He kept persuading me to pay for the hotel and kept on asking me to go to the nearest Maybank ATM machine... He said that there are important things in the hotel room, and he need it badly because his other friends will beat him up if he didn't take those things out of the hotel room...
I started getting suspicious... He offered to photocopy his IC and said that if he didn't return the money via banking methods, I can go to the police... I countered, 'You think the police will come after you?'
He said that he is not a liar, and does not want to cheat my RM200. I said I had been cheated a few times before, and he, who suddenly rose up on the spot, said, 'You tell me who the heck lied to you, and me, Ah Hong, will beat him up for you!' Well, I was not convinced, 'You will beat up someone for me in a foreign city? You're from Johore Bahru right? A tourist picking up on someone? By the way how could I remember those faces to describe to you their features?'
He asked for my phone number, so he can pay me back RM500 in the evening, but I'm not buying. The only thing that I would do for him is buying that bus ticket back to Johore.
By then he was getting desperate and blah blah blah, willing to kneel on the streets (which to him I answered no need) and then his tears came. But I'm sticking to my deal, I buy you the bus ticket, that's the only help I will give. No more than that. He said his other friends will bash him up for not returning what was left in the hotel room, I shot back one question, 'You dealing with drugs? What is so important in the hotel room? Your passport? You're from Johore, and who will bring such IMPORTATN stuff on a casual trip you just mentioned?' He answered that somethings are private and he did not wish to reveal too much...
Well, I think that if he cannot be honest, bb lorr!
And my GF was there on the car waiting to pick me up. I told him, you wait for me here, I promise I will buy you a ticket. And so I put my things in the car, and I turned back, he was gone. I couldn't see him anywhere. So I left... Fair? Yes to me.
Then my phone rang, an unknown number from Seremban. I don't bother picking it up, my GF ask me to pay it no heed. Yah, it was fair that I left. I had hear enough, and even offered him a ticket back but he didn't want it. He wanted something from the hotel room... I don't want to help him on that, who knows he might be a pusher? What if I was caught with him? GG! My clan mates will say...
If he WAS beaten up by his friends, well, you just mix with the wrong guys. No friend of mine, in my knowledge, will beat me up for things.... Err... Exclusion clause here, except DoTA, where things can go rough!
